How to use: Alder

Alder is one of our best-selling firewoods as it is an excellent choice to start any stove or open fire it is similar to birch. Alder is less dense than birch so it will burn slightly quicker.

We would always recommend to add a heavier wood Ash/Hornbeam thereafter for a longer more economical burn.

  • Quick to light
  • It burns clean and hot with a bright and lively flame to look at
  • Approx length of logs 24-25cm or 8-10 inches long
  • Moisture content of less than 20%
  • Ideal for wood fired/multi fuel stoves, fireplaces, pizza ovens, chimineas or firepits.
